Lost Loch Spirits was founded by Pete Dignan and Rich Pierce in 2017 to combine a passion for history with a fascination for the ancient art of distilling.

The distillery sits between forest and farmland on the edge of the Cairngorm National Park and is accessed through the breath-taking scenery of Royal Deeside.  Don’t let the name fool you, we’re easy to find, but the Lost Loch Distillery is built on what would have been eastern shore of Loch Auchlossan.  Attempts to drain the loch for farmland from the 18th century onwards failed, until in 1944 the Loch was successfully drained to help with the war effort.  Loch Auchlossan is no more but the memory lives on in the Lost Loch name.

We run micro-tours and tastings where you can spend an hour or so finding out about the time-honoured art of distilling, as well as being introduced to our unique spirits range, from the first Scottish absinthe Murmichan to our Masters Medal flagship gin eeNoo. Our award-winning Spirit School runs every weekend, and is your chance to distil your own spirit, with full access to our individual copper stills and the Wall of Botanics, complete with tastings of all our products and a goodie bag. Oh, and there’s a special treat for the Designated Drivers!
