Sandy’s is self-contained annex that forms part of a Victorian country house. It is a one-bedroomed ground floor apartment with access to an enclosed garden and woodland walks. The bedroom can either be set up as a King or twin room. Underfloor heating in all rooms and double glazing creates a cosy feeling in this well-equipped annex. The kitchen/dining/living space looks out onto the outdoor seating area and garden. There is a shower room as well as separate WC.

Sandy’s@Tilquhillie has been newly renovated to create a warm and comfortable base from which to enjoy the magnificent countryside of Royal Deeside. Easy access to local town with all amenities, you can’t get a better location. Dog-friendly with direct access to woodland walks and cycling trails. If you want comfort and convenience with red squirrels, woodpeckers and occasionally deer and pine martins to watch from the garden, then this is the place for you.

The Deeside Trail, a challenging backpacking route, starts and finishes in Banchory. The Deeside Way (cycle and hiking) passes within a mile of the house. The increasingly popular cycling route of The North East 250 passes through Banchory and the ever popular Cairn O’Mount road route comes within a few miles of the house. We offer secure bike storage on site.

We offer off-road parking for two vehicles on the property. A mile away is the bustling town of Banchory with a full range of amenities, including banks, food retailers, restaurants, pubs, outdoor shops and bike shops. Sandy’s is a thirty minute drive from Aberdeen Airport and two and a half hours from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. Bus services can take you into Aberdeen city.
